You know that feeling when you’re just trying to survive a rough day at the office, maybe you botch a few things right out of the gate, but then you somehow pull it together and look like a damn hero by 5 PM? Yeah, that was basically Arin Ahuja at the DP World PGTI Qualifying School. This 22-year-old amateur from Noida kicked off his final round looking like he’d just remembered he left the oven on, dropping three bogeys in the first five holes. Not exactly the picture of serene confidence you’d hope for when you’re trying to snag a pro card, right?

But here’s where it gets good. Instead of just wilting like a neglected fern, Arin decided to channel his inner action hero. He started saving pars like they were going out of style, and then, BAM! An eagle on the 14th. Suddenly, he wasn't just in the race; he was the guy chasing down the lead. He followed that up with some ridiculous long putts on holes 15 and 17, somehow turning a potential train wreck into a one-shot victory. It’s the kind of dramatic turnaround that makes you think anything is possible, even if it involves a few face-palm moments early on.

This whole Q School circus is pretty much the golf equivalent of trying out for the Avengers, and for 48 players, this was their golden ticket to the big time for the 2026-27 DP World PGTI season. It’s a brutal grind, no question, but seeing a kid like Arin, who’s got some serious junior cred and was once India’s No. 2 amateur, pull this off is genuinely cool. He gave credit to his putting, which, let’s be honest, is usually the fine line between looking like a pro and wanting to crawl into a hole.

Arin's planning to turn pro soon, and frankly, after a performance like that, who wouldn't? He's got the talent, he's got the nerve, and now he’s got a killer story. The season kicks off with the IndianOil Servo Masters later this year, so keep your eyes peeled for this rookie. He’s already proven he can claw his way to the top, and that’s a damn good omen. Just hopefully, with a slightly more relaxed start to his rounds.
